I spend time at various places around the web and around Anchorage:
- My Twitter feed, Google+ profile, Pinterest, and, if you’re adventurous, Diaspora profile
- GeekCrafts – I am now a blogger at this fantastic blog about, you guessed it, the intersection of geekery and crafting. The whole blog is really fun, but if you just want to browse my posts, you can get to them here.
- Moving to Alaska – This is the blog Dale (my husband) and I have been writing, about moving to Alaska and about our life here. A big theme, lately, has been the house we just purchased and are remodeling (we got a loan that has remodeling money built into it—this kind of loan is not for the faint of heart, but we have ended up being able to make some really important updates/additions to our house, because of it).
- LibraryThing and Goodreads – If you’d like to see a sample of my reading, here you go. I’m lackadaisical about updating these accounts, sorry.
- It no longer has its own dedicated blog—I just post about it here and, if it’s awesome, at GeekCrafts—but I do some arts-and-crafting. Mostly geeky/snarky cross-stitch, though I’ve just knit my first hat (on a KniftyKnitter loom), and I play with various other craft media as the mood strikes me. My favorite thing is to work on some kind of craft or cooking project while listening to audiobooks.
- Otherwise, Dale and I do some homebrewing; we enjoy hosting board game nights and cook-outs; we’ve both been known to play tabletop RPGs (currently Dungeons & Dragons and GURPS Superheroes) and parlor LARPs (think “How to Host a Murder Mystery”); we bike the local trail system; and we show up at some tweetups and political discussions around Anchorage
- We sometimes go geocaching, but not as often as we should.
