I picked up the book Subversive Cross Stitch a couple of weeks ago and have completed two of the patterns (“whatever” and “#@%&!!”). I’m going out on a limb, now, and adding my own words to one of the borders. And changing the colors. If it’s awesome, it’s going to be a gift for some friends. If it’s awful, I’m going to, I don’t know, learn from it, I guess. And maybe hang it up in my apartment, as a warning to future craft projects.
